Anna Sidorovich, Guest Instructor
I am currently based in Las Vegas, where I recently completed two seasons with Nevada Ballet Theatre's second company. I began my ballet training at the age of three with Ballet Caliente, progressing through every level of the school's program. After spending four years in the Studio Company, I continued my training at sixteen with The Washington School of Ballet, where I completed the final two years of my high school education. Following graduation, I joined Nashville Ballet's Professional Division under the direction of Anaïs Chalendard. During my time there, I performed in Paul Vasterling's The Nutcracker and had the opportunity to dance soloist roles in school productions, including the Canary Fairy in The Sleeping Beauty and the Folly Variation in Coppélia. Most recently, I spent two seasons with Nevada Ballet Theatre's second company under the direction of Don Bellamy and Dodie Askegard. During that time, I performed alongside the main company in productions including George Balanchine's The Nutcracker and Trey McIntyre's Peter Pan. I was also grateful for the opportunity to perform Balanchine's Serenade, one of the ballet's most celebrated works. Throughout my training and professional career, I have had the privilege of performing in multiple productions of The Nutcracker with several professional companies. While at Ballet Caliente, I performed in collaborations with the Donetsk Ballet in 2013 and 2014. The following year, I appeared with the Joffrey Ballet at the Kennedy Center and later performed with The Washington Ballet during my time studying in Washington, D.C. In addition to my year-round training, I have attended summer intensives with Ballet Caliente, The Washington School of Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, Nashville Ballet, Nevada Ballet Theatre, Richmond Ballet, and American Ballet Theatre. These experiences have allowed me to work with a wide range of renowned faculty, choreographers, and artists while continuing to grow both technically and artistically. I would not be where I am today without Ballet Caliente and Mrs. Dunaway's Dancing D's. The guidance, support, and training I received laid the foundation for everything I have accomplished, and I will always remain a proud Ballet Caliente alumni! |
