Ballet Caliente's
Teacher Training Course Is your dancer interested in becoming a Ballet Caliente Assistant Teacher, Student Teacher, or Class Demonstrator? We’re excited to announce this year’s Teacher Training Course, designed to increase knowledge about dance, kinesiology, pedagogy, and critical thinking. Time management, situational awareness and leadership are other attributes the course will touch upon. While we cannot guarantee that a position will be available, we strongly encourage those interested in becoming a dance instructor to begin with this introductory course.

Teacher Training Course
Students will commence with a 3 day lecture series followed by a graded practicum examination, covering topics such as critical thinking in the classroom, situational awareness, teaching spatial insight, musicality, and proper presentation to students and parents.
Upon completion of this course, all students will receive an official Ballet Caliente Teacher Training Certificate.

August 10, 11:00pm-3:30pm & August 11, 10:00-3:30pm
+4 hours of practicum to be arranged individually: Participants will shadow seasoned Ballet Caliente instructors and log hours on a timesheet.
Tuition: $263
Please bring a lunch, dancers will have a break before 3:30 classes begin
Registration open to current students, age 13+ or older.
Assistant Teachers must be 14 years and older, Student Teachers must be 16 years and older, Class Demonstrators age 13 and younger my be selected on a volunteer basis. Upon completion of the course, practicum, and meeting the age requirement, individuals will be considered for a teaching assistant position.
Upon completion of this course, all students will receive an official Ballet Caliente Teacher Training Certificate.

- Inside Ballet Technique: Separating Anatomical Fact from Fiction in the Ballet Class by Valerie Grieg
