Summer is a great time to try a variety of dance styles, express your creativity, and keep up your skills. Read through the information below to find a class that fits your needs. Whether your student is a beginner or has been dancing for years, there is truly something for everyone!
Our intensive programs and summer classes are open for enrollment through a series of 3-week sessions. This allows for families to enjoy time together and the flexibility to enroll for as many sessions as they wish. Summer Dance F.A.Q's
UNDERSTANDING SUMMER PLACEMENT
This year, current students will be placed in summer classes according to the level they took during the previous school year. Each level will automatically enroll in ALL disciplines for that level (with the exception of Ballet A). Please review the placement guide below.
LEVEL A - child is between 3 - 5 years old (or current Pre-Ballet/Primary students) when classes begin, select level A.
LEVEL B - child is a new/beginning dancer (or currently in level Ballet 1 ) who is between 6 - 8 years old, select level B classes.
LEVEL C - current level 2 dancers or dancers age 9 & up with little to no experience, select level C
LEVEL D - current level 3 or 4, including Pointe C (or new students by placement via evaluation class) select level D
LEVEL E - current level 5, Jr. & Studio Company dancers, including Pointe D (or new students by placement via evaluation class) select level E

During the summer, our dress code is very relaxed and students may wear any leotards they are comfortable in. In the school year, our students wear leotards according to what level they are in. In addition to wearing a leotard, all female dancers will need pink (or skin tone) ballet tights and ballet slippers. Hair should be in a bun for each class. Boys should wear form fitting black pants/leggings and a white shirt. Please visit our Dress Code page for more information on where you can find each of these items!
WHAT HAPPENS AT THE END OF SUMMER IF I'D LIKE TO CONTINUE?
We would love to have you continue with us during our year-round program, which begins in early September. In late July, you will receive a placement letter using the email address you provide. Registration for our fall classes will open in August.

As we're located in a military community, we know that dancers often relocate to Southern Maryland from other areas. If you have previous dance experience and would like to continue your training, we would love the opportunity to meet you! Please contact us for a FREE evaluation class. Our teachers will watch you carefully during class and let you and your family know immediately afterward which classes will be the best fit for you. All of our dancers are covered by the studio's insurance policy. To place you on the policy for one day, we will need your first and last name, birth date, and a phone number.
