Taryn Packheiser Brown
Taryn Packheiser Brown is a multimedia artist specializing in dance, audio, and video. Her work has been presented in the United States and abroad in events including the Sans Souci Festival of Dance Cinema in Colorado, the Tec Art Eco Festival in Italy, and the Promising Artists of the XXI Century program in Costa Rica. Brown has taught as a guest/permanent faculty at several institutions including Iowa State, UNC Greensboro, UN Reno, Shelton State and ACDA. Her dancing career has allowed her to work with many regional companies including Sanspointe Dance Company, 3rd Law Dance Theater, Co’Motion Dance Theater, Greensboro Ballet, and Hurley & Dancers. She has worked with notable artists such as Mark Dendy, Joe Goode, Gabriel Masson, and Bebe Miller. Brown has received funding from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Alabama State Council on the Arts, and the Iowa Arts Council. Taryn has an MFA in Dance from CU Boulder and a BFA in Contemporary Dance from UNCSA.
